TOG gains SMETA Accreditation

Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) is among the most expansively utilized systems of ethical audit platforms throughout the globe. SMETA is a method of auditing that offers a summary of best practice ethical audit techniques. These audits help consumer brands, suppliers, and retailers to streamline efforts in ethical trade auditing. It is structured to assist auditors in implementing high standard audits that cover the entire range of responsible business practice. It encompasses the quadruplicate pillars of business ethics, environment, health & safety, and labor.

SMETA is blueprinted for suppliers to have access to a singular audit with a multitude of consumers in order to meet their demands while minimizing redundancies in ethical auditing.

SGS Philippines, Inc conducted the audit. TOG gained accreditation by complying with the 3 SMETA components: 1.common best practice guidance on conducting ethical trade audits, 2.common audit report formats, and 3.common corrective action plan formats.

TOG SMETA accreditation is valid until February 28, 2020.
